Home Sweet Home!

I MADE IT TO VINH!!!!!!!!!

I have been here for about a week now and it has been a lot of fun. I am going to start teaching in three weeks so I have a lot of down time right now. This is good because I am getting some time to learn Vietnamese. Granted it is going very slow...who knew learning this language would be so hard. I am humbled everyday by my slip ups and horrible pronunciation. I havn't had any monumental or humorous mistakes yet but as soon as I do I will tell you! I took some pictures of the city from the tallest building here, just to give you an idea of how big the city is.

There are about 250,000 people that live here in Vinh city. It is nice to be in a smaller city compared to Hanoi! My favorite part is from 12PM - 2PM the city pretty much shuts down for lunch and an afternoon nap. I knew there was a reason that I was supposed to teach in this city!

The soccer stadium in Vinh...it is a pretty big deal here!

This is a stand where I buy my fruit. I LOVE the fruit here in Vietnam! It always makes everything better. I was so fortunate in the fact that a few days after I got here that the weather cooled off dramatically. I really know that eveyone's thoughts for me have made a world of difference. Thanks!
