YAY!!! It's time for Christmas!!!!

My friends came over yesterday and helped me make my room feel a little bit more like Christmas. I really love Christmas time and I love having decorations all put up. I went to the local grocery store (Intimex) here in Vinh and bought a few Christmas stuffed animals. Grocery stores here have a little bit of everything. There are differnt floors, the first floor you can buy TVs, mattresses or expensive housewares, the second floor is a book store and clothing store, and on the third floor is a dry food and everyday housewares store. I was so suprised to find some cute little stuffed animals here. Usually Vietnamese Chrismas decorations are a little goddy and on the verge of being scary. I missed not being able to go to Hobby Lobby to buy Christmas decorations. I could truelly spend hours in that store. Sorry that was a side note. I am really excited about Christmas time. I am going to get to tell all of my students about the Nativity story and I am hoping that it sparks some questions in some of them. When my language tutors came over I shared with them all about the real reason why we celebrate Christmas. I don't know if they really understood the real meaning but I am hoping that they will want to know more soon!

Next week is going to be very exciting. I have invited all of my classes to come over to my room for a Christmas party! I can't wait to have everyone in my room. I think that we will make snowflakes, sing carols, and eat! I'll let you know how it goes...
